Anyone got music for Auld Lang Syne?
I know and have played it in the past with bands but the notes are well out when you play solo. Looking for a setting that sounds OK when played solo.
Need it for a gig at the bells.

Ian, there was that much dust on the chanter when I blew through it the local bobbies thought a helicopter was landing!!! Laughing

Gig went well. Played for about 1/2 hour around 8pm then returned later and did 10 mins at the bells.
Drones reasonably steady, chanter fair but kept going sharp (a wee lick after each selection sorted that out), fingers not bad considering and lips blowing a few raspberrys!!!!!
When I returned for the bells drones were rock steady and chanter pretty solid. A good night.
All I need do now is keep at it!

I played New Years Levee's this year. What an experience. We went to all the armouries in Toronto and even played at the Royal Canadian Military Institute! Smile

Sounds like your gig went well Stormy. Good to keep at it... I've let my piping 'slide'...more focused on drumming now. But my chanter is always with me, in case I get inspired again. LOL
