Edinburgh Compeition winners
Boghall wins Edinburgh Championship . . . times three

Edinburgh – July 24, 2011 – Each of Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia's three bands won their respective grades at the first Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship, a new event on the RSPBA rota. The event enjoyed beautiful weather. It was the first full pipe band competition to be held in Edinburgh in more than 15 years.

In the Novice Juvenile and Juvenile events.....they were the only band there!
Given all the complaints about Cowal each year, perhaps it's time that the RSPBA dumped Cowal and moved that championship to Edinburgh.

I have not been at Cowal for more years than i will admit to, but going on what others tell me, it has become a joke? there was talk a few years ago of dumping it? So why not Edinburgh indeed, Ingleston is big enough to hold it.

......and not being far from Corstorphine or Barnton, all the Alasdairs and Fionas could come to watch and pay the entrance fee.....
