Celtic Green Stone?
Anyone ever heard of it?
As far as I know 'green stone' is a generic term for many different stones, but I was told this stone is called Celtic green stone and comes from Scotland or Ireland. It's could be mistaken for a type of jade , only more of a pale olive and white cloudy effect.
I tried googling and couldn't find anything. Just curious.

LOL I was going to put it in our private little talk room aka the coffee shop, so I could ask you and TBP, since we're the only ones around. Then I thought, maybe it was best to start a new thread
Sorry can't magically change the stone to blue, but I can stop calling it Celtic green, if I can find what type of stone it is. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks.true_blue_piper wrote:the Rangers Blue Stone is far superior....

Yes...nothing like a good old boomerang made in China
No, this is definitely not tacky touristy made in china stuff.
It's jewellery given my by my mother in law. Bought by my father-in-law many years ago from Scotland.
I would have liked to have bought a nice pair of earrings to go with the set, but only if I can find the right stone.
Comparing the stone to images is a bit ridiculous, so I've discovered.
I think I'll have to wait until I can talk to someone from the gem/stone organisations.

Thanks Gordy, that would be great. I'll do it tomorrow, as right now the kids are waiting for 'family games night'.

I haven't forgotten your offer Gordy. With it being school holidays and all the drama with the floods, i haven't had time. I'll try and get it done this weekend, if the offer is still open, thanks.
