Save our Sporrans Empty Re: Save our Sporrans

Post by Dai Robb Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:30 pm

I have tyo admit to being an animal lover and hate seeing the likes of the seal cull? I find it barbaric, and yet think on the likes of sporrans they look nice so i suppose i would say within reason???(whatever that may be) then it is okay.
Regards the use of road kill? then I cant see any harm in it, nine times out of ten an animal killed by a car will lie in the middle of the raod for days on end anyway?

I have to admit that I am an dog lover, and as such have a view on the seal sporroan thing.

Its easy to sit back and say not to kill seals, but it needs to be rememmbered that they are seen as vermin, and as such need to be culled to preserve fish stocks. Once they are dead, to me, it makes sense to use them as sporrans, not so much of a waste

Would anyone go without eggs or chicken because we dont kill the foxes that prey on them?

I have a nice fox sporran, 'Foxy' by name, it is different, pretty, and when stroked by a girl gives the odd twitch of life Very Happy Very Happy
