So Good Luck to all 4a bands for next year who are on here.

I'm I missing something here?
What's the change?
That's a list of basic "should be in everyone's repertoire"
strathspeys and reels.
You're not seriously saying that tunes like these separate the committed and the non-committed?

Basic to some mate,
What with the RSPBA spoon feeding the grade nowadays, many bands have to play crap for years.
Doesnt stop the players being experts on other forums though
I played the back half in 4a last year, and TBH it was dire, having to play that crap, no need to practise it, just play it, dead easy.
Even for a mediocre player, it would be totally unchallenging, soul destroying even.
At last, grade 4 will be heading in the right direction, playing proper tunes, not having to cop out with diddy stuff
Re: Well its offical now 4a and MSR
I'm hearing you.
The grade previously played stuff even simpler than these tunes?
Amazing.
There are actually some bonnie tunes in that list, so it looks like the RSPBA is doing something right....for once.

It's about time. At least there will be a bit of variation.

In This instance, it must be said that they are,
Some fine tunes there, and gives PM's the chance to exercise their musical scope.
The best thing they have done is to stop bands playing 2/4's to qualify and then play Jimmy Findlater in the final, they play the MAP tunes all the time now, as some did and some didnt, and the 3/4 4/4 bands seemed to do better
Will make a better grade, and thats whats needed
