Well I'm sorry but I don't get the band gossip as quick now. Have to rely on here and Piper & Drummer website.

I wonder whether Ian will be bringing pipers with him to the L & BP?
It's all very well having a couple of good players but they need a lot more than that nowadays. If you think back, when Geordie Lumsden was P/M he had the talent and knowledge, certainly as good as anyone in the entire pipe band world, but he didn't have the numbers of quality band players which they'd had in the glory years.
And now, I've just realised that mentioning Ian Duncan hijacked this thread away from Torphichen........sorry.....time to get back on track.....
It's all very well having a couple of good players but they need a lot more than that nowadays. If you think back, when Geordie Lumsden was P/M he had the talent and knowledge, certainly as good as anyone in the entire pipe band world, but he didn't have the numbers of quality band players which they'd had in the glory years.

I Know. lol. I was just pleased for Stuart being made the PM of Torphican thats why I posted. Met the man on numerous occassions with him being a pal of my old pm. Never know, he maybe get his sons playing in the band.

Stewart taken 2 top soloists with him I cant remember names but 1 is from Inverness to torphican.
