Here we go again....

After the shit that our very own Janelle went through last year with McCarthy Highland in Canada, he's the subject of threads on BDF and PBF yet again.....

Threatening those who say anything he doesn't like with libel and slander.....and yet, those who have written anything have been very factual and have simply been upfront.....

It's time that those, such as S Lloyd on PBF stop giving into this and instead of worrying about the reputations of people such as Bobby McCarthy, instead worried more about those who are taken to the financial cleaners by people like him.......

What the hell is the piping world worried about?

Look after 'the dodgy' who don't answer their clients (and make up pretence stories) or....protect prospective clients...our own sorts......so as in the future.....we don't get ripped off......

and have you seen his latest Dog's Doo Dahs on PBF...

Funny how he can answer and reply to comments on BDF but claims not to have received emails on PBF....

the way i see it it dosent matter what rep you have in the pipe band fraternity it dont make you any better than anyone else we can all make threats but it takes guts to go threw with it were all in this together and anyone who says diff isnt a true pipe bandsmen just a guy running away from the truth me thinks!

I actually had dealings with him a number of years ago, ordered some things from him, had an E mail saying they had been posted, and I like a fool sent off the cash,
It took me quite a bit of "CONVINCING" that I really wanted the items Toot sweet, or I would have to do something about it, before they eventually arrived fully 3 months from his original mail saying they had been sent?, You may remember Ron, there were quite a few posts about it from me to him etc on PBF.
I certainly would not knuckle down to him.

why dont everyone club together and get the man put out of buisness or better still just stop going to him all together if he is this bad?

I did it because we would have done it for any other member, although after I had done it I did realise he could have done it himself. I may not like or respect the guy, but I don't want to give him any excuses for saying we're not treating him like any other member. He's been given quite a flogging on BDF anyway and he's only came back to PBF to try and save himself, which he can't do now.

Yeah, I pretty much gave up on it. Every so often i send a request for my refund, but I'm still getting excuses. Last one was he couldn't refund until he had cashed the money order. Yet i have proof, he cashed it 12 months earlier.
The man isn't just incompetant he's a crook.
I'd rather people knew that before they hand over their money like Dai and I did. A $320Au lesson for me. I could of said a lot more in the PBF thread but I figured it's a waste of breath and there's no point having him threaten to sue them as well.

No mention from a moderator or anything.....simply deleted and yet I believe that he used what I wrote to get a threat he made get deleted on PDF....by Robbie none-the-less.

I'm not having a go at you Robbie.......so don't take this the wrong way ......but you deleted a sentence he made on PBF....and yet if you read subsequent posts you'll see what it was, because somebody else (Scots Wha Hae) quoted from it, and his quote was made before the deletion.

For those that say/protest that it might ruin a man's business, I would say that the man has had ample opportunity to defend himself and that is high time we protected the pipers/drummers from him and his company.

Yep, he is Bobby on PBF. Used to be an Admin there until he wound up the wrong people. He's not the nicest of guys & trys to make out he's a grade 1 player when theres no evidence to support it. He's doing it to create a "trusted brand".. it's not really working!

but i read the following thread on the forum and what he sez to one of the guys is complete and utter crap the man was stating his opinion and yet the bob has the cheeck to say the guy was threatning him when in actuall fact it was bob doing the threatning

Mr Mc Carthy is full of the proverbial P*** and wind, at one stage we were corresponding on a regular basis, via E Mails, and I can well remember his tales of the standard of piper he was, and how he was advised that with his skills and knowledge of piping he would be the ideal person to run a Piping supply business? he did at one time make out He OWNED the Business, when in fact at the time he was simply a rep. Prior to him starting his Highland services, he was contacting me for advice on how to set the business up, if I remember correctly I even helped him set out his business plan?

cause theres alot of people out there not wanting taken to the cleaners by him im sorry but honestly the guys an idiot if he thinks he can take anyone to the cleaners if anyone going to the cleaners it needs to be him from what ive heard about him
